Accelerating Newcomer Academic Language Development One-Day Workshop

Overview

Who: Educators Pre-K through 12th grade

What:  This one-day workshop offers the opportunity to explore and practice research-based principles and techniques for collaborative, conversation-based instruction to: 

• better meet the needs of Newcomers

• integrate Newcomers productively into content classrooms

• actively develop Newcomers’ academic language skills

When:

9:00am-4:00pm

Virtual– via Zoom

Payment Options

You have the option to pay via Credit Card or Invoice using a PO or check.

Regardless, you will need a Registration Code.  If you are paying for yourself, please contact Madison Tilley (madison.tilley@uga.edu). Refund Policy

No refunds for cancellation of registered participants. Even if payment is collected at a later date (i.e. via purchase order or check), completion of registration serves as confirmation of your attendance. Payment will still be collected if you choose to cancel before payment is processed. 

Substitution Policy

Substitutions are permitted up to 1 week in advance in order to ensure sufficient time to make the necessary administrative adjustments.
