Overview
Who: Educators Pre-K through 12th grade
What: This practical, hands-on one-day workshop introduces educators to the language “functions” embedded in disciplinary content standards. The interactive session moves beyond vocabulary lists and offers educators the opportunity to identify what Key Language Uses (e.g. Inform, Narrate, Explain, Argue) are embedded in the content standards and what associated Language Functions and Features the standards ask students master to demonstrate their conceptual understanding of content.

Payment Options
You have the option to pay via Credit Card or Invoice using a PO or check.
Regardless, you will need a Registration Code. If you are paying for yourself, please contact Madison Tilley (madison.tilley@uga.edu). If the district or school is paying for the registration, please have the district contact or admin contact reach out to Madison Tilley (madison.tilley@uga.edu) to set up a code.
Policies
Refund Policy
No refunds for cancellation of registered participants. Even if payment is collected at a later date (i.e. via purchase order or check), completion of registration serves as confirmation of your attendance. Payment will still be collected if you choose to cancel before payment is processed.
Substitution Policy
Substitutions are permitted up to 1 week in advance in order to ensure sufficient time to make the necessary administrative adjustments.
